After a massive re-location effort over the summer, the sanctuary is re-opening the sanctuary for public visits with a celebration on September 5th. Visitors will take sanctuary tours, enjoy food trucks like the acclaimed Cinnamon Snail, live music and fun activities for the kids.
This weekend will mark the start of of our regular visiting hours on Saturday and Sundays from 11-4 through the end of October – only 9 weeks to visit this year but we’ll be opening next year in April and volunteers are welcome year round!
Enjoy fantastic vegan eats from our award-winning food vendors from the Hudson Valley, NYC and beyond!

NYC indie music veterans Bree Sharp and Don DiLego (Beautiful Small Machines) will be headlining the event with other special guests throughout the day! Stay tuned for more info!
No shortage of fun for the whole family! We will have a bouncy house, plus hair-braiding for the kids, and face painting by artist Fela Chipak of The Artistic Paw!
Brain Yarnish and Candice of The Scrapkins will host arts and crafts workshops using recycled materials!
